rip to my first best friend ever 💔😿 i love u miles. i wish i got to do everything i wanted to do with you. i wish dogs could live forever. miles kept me company especially before my siblings were born. he put up with so much of my bs.😹he taught me to chill tf out. i’m still trying lol. no rlly. he liked to be in the sun and just vibe. he would sit by me always. when i come home, when i’m sad, when i’m happy, when i practice, when i sleep. i’ve had him as long as i played violin for—his ears would always twitch when i practiced especially back when it sounded bad in the first ten years hahahahh but he never let the sound make him leave the room like my other dog will do that sometimes lol… anyway me and him are kindred old souls. he taught my other dog to chill tf out too… tamed him. feel like i still have a part of him with me. my other dog misses him tho a lot. anyway thanks for growing up with me and taming me too. being such a good dog. i’ve seen many dogs in my life. this one was a really good one… 💖

#tbt to playing @guy_braunstein_official masterclass at my first festival two years ago! my audition video 😹

but fr i can’t believe it’s been two years. glad to say over the years i’m still learning bach’s first violin sonata in an attempt to perform the entirety of it someday and finish something i start😹also that i learned to use way more bow..

but fr what i wanted to say to any musician of any age i encourage any type of engagement in as many types of music as you wish.. you never know what you’ll find and where you’ll end up!

i went to this classical music festival and not just developed my orchestral skills, got to practice playing under a lot of pressure in front of a world class soloist i admired, but met many different musicians some of which i still keep in touch with and am proud to call my friends to this day, who i had a wonderful time with musically and on our adventures. never did i ever realize that i’d be doing improv jam seshes with the same people i got placed with to be in classical string quartets/chamber group with! hope to share some of that soon and all my vlogs… see last slide for @_jami_sonian and i mixing our concertos like it’s vinyl 😹

anyways wanted to say while i can’t tell you to never be afraid, i can tell you to do it anyway, and to do it scared. thats when real confidence can manifest. 😽🎻xxx mellocat
